Iguatemi is today responsible for the research group called Sustainable Technologies. In this position, he is responsible for directing projects related to innovation in fields such as socio-environmental indicators, LCA, Ecodesign and sustainable materials for packaging. This group is linked to the Research Board of the Vice-Presidency of Innovation. His responsibilities include managing the research team, the project portfolio (budget and pipeline) and participating in Natura’s executive board of technology projects. Previously he worked on the design and implementation of the business process of front end innovation and the group that created the vision, goals, and project of the Technology and Innovation Science of the Amazon Program of Natura. Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, having worked with total synthesis of natural molecules, at USP.
